Update 2019:
Back at the end of June 2018 Jules and Ian Lindsay took over as the new owners of Lechlade Marina and since then have been working hard to clean up the site and improve the facilities. You can see the progress on their website here: https://lechlademarina.co.uk/our-blog/
The slipway, with good depth and space around the top, is again available for launch and recovery boats and by contacting them, they will arrange storage of cars and trailers. (Subject to space being available)
Slipway cost: £20 in and out.
Car and trailer storage: £5/day.

The pictures with the large black steel narrowboat were taken Easter 2019, a few days after an attempt to crane it out failed due to its excessive weight. Further work is now being scheduled to lighten it and then another attempt to crane it out will be made. When recovering or launching with a Wilderness trailer, it is better to stay over to the left hand side looking down the slipway. On the right hand side it is possible to slip off the edge of the slipway about 12″ from the bank. Check before launching. It was an easy slipway to use. Water levels can vary as it’s open to the fluctuations of the River Thames as, controlled by the lock keeper at St John’s Lock.
