You might just see one of our boats on dry land, being used in “caravan mode” for a stopover, or with the addition of grey water collection, and perhaps an electric hook-up, an extended land based holiday on a friendly campsite. .....Exploring the Cambridgesire waterways, you might find this narrow, shallow, channel through the reeds, reminiscent of the film “African Queen".But there will no encounters with crocodiles nor German gunships,before receiving a warm welcome at Reach Village.
Club members call this “the water-skiing picture”, but, in fact, it shows an attempt to pull a boat off the shoal at Hannington Bridge, which is reckoned to be the upper limit of navigation on the River Thames for boats like ours.
A Wilderness boat can become part of the family and several have conveyed a bride and groom to or from their wedding.
