The Port is now controlled and operated by the Local Mayor. He has an assistant who appears occasionally. Very obliging and helpful and keen to attract more business. The Mayor is the Owner of the large Haulage Yard about half a mile up the road on opposite side of canal to the town. They have now put a locked chain across the top of the slipway, but there is no charge for use but no way to book or reserve.
No problem, if the Mayor or his assistant don’t find you when you arrive then asking around the town will soon find them.
The shower block is still available. The Port has WiFi. You will need the password.
There is a large number of nice pontoon berths suitable for small boats like ours with Power, which is usually left switched on and water.
We left car and trailer in the compound still there from Le Boat days. It was not locked but seemed to be safe. No charge.
As for cost of mooring I never understood the Mayors calculations. I thought it was steep – but said nothing considering free slipway and parking.
There is a filling station for petrol/diesel ten minutes walk away just past the town centre.
